So life-like!    More on the tables.     Everyone was determined to enjoy this special evening. On dirait un vrai! Il y en avait d’autres sur les tables, et tout le monde bien décidé à profiter de cette soirée spéciale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The tables were appropriately decorated!   The apéritifs were served……and the feasting began. Les tables étaient bien décorées! Les apéritifs une fois servis,… le festin a pu commencer!

        ….It was introduced by a  brief history lesson of the significance of the cockerel to France – thanks to Michele for the research. Mais d’abord, une petite leçon d’histoire sur la signification du coq en France (merci à Michèle pour ses recherches).

 

 

 

 

Josette’s liaison with the ‘traiteur’ in Coex once again proved a success, as did the delicious Coq au Vin.     Needless to say, the ‘vin’ element flowed freely as usual, being followed by a morsel of cheese and some excellent fruit tart. Notre commande chez le traiteur de Coëx a été encore une fois couronnée de succès avec ce délicieux Coq au Vin. Il a été suivi de fromages et d’une excellente tarte aux fruits. Inutile de préciser que le vin a coulé à flots comme d’habitude …

 

 

                                                                    

              

However, all good things come to an end.   As usual there were lots of helpers doing the clearing up – and one particular gentleman doing the washing-up!  Without the help like that from Members it would be well-nigh impossible to have the events that we do.   Thanks to everyone. Cependant, toutes les bonnes choses ont une fin. Comme à l’accoutumée, nous avons eu beaucoup de volontaires pour aider à nettoyer et à faire la vaisselle! Sans l’aide des Adhérents, il serait impossible d’organiser des dîners comme cela. Merci à tous !

  Not to be left out of the fun, Josette took to scouring the huge dish in which the C au V had been served…….. Pour ne pas être en reste, Josette s’est chargée du récurage de l’immense plat du coq au vin …

and finally, Francois (albeit slightly out of focus – must be the wine) perform the final ceremony of the evening!!! et finalement, François (la photo est floue, c’est peut-être le vin…) effectue la dernière cérémonie de la soirée !!!
