L’association “NATURE et CULTURE” de Saint Hilaire organise une randonnée (multi-associations) particulièrement originale dans le Nord-Ouest Vendéen (lieu encore secret à ce stade) l’après-midi du 20 avril….

The Association Nature et Culture of Saint Hilaire has organised a country walk, together with other associations, focussing on the north west of the Vendee (venue to be communicated later), on the afternoon of 20th April.

This very special ramble of roughly 8 kilometres (just Under 5 miles) has as its ‘raison d’etre’, the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare.  This bucolic walk with involve literary pauses, with récitations of the bard’s words, some music and of course, being French something to eat and to drink!

Cette “Incroyable Randonnée” de 8 km environ prendra prétexte du 400^ème anniversaire de la mort de Shakespeare pour émailler un parcours bucolique de haltes littéraires, musicales, et gustatives pour les gourmands… sur le thème clin d’oeil :

“To bee or not to be”

(la tirade ira même jusqu’à être déclamée non seulement en français et en anglais, of course, mais aussi en maraîchin (!), pendant que nous examinerons les ruches au plus près, en tenue spatiale !!).

The déclamations (sic) will be not only in English and French but also in the local Vendeen patois whilst the referencees – albeit somewhat tenuous – to bees will be explored.

The event will be ‘gilded’ by the presence one of our thespian Members, Cecile Rees who will represent Le Pont a Sion.

Cette épopée se fera notamment avec la participation de l’Association franco-britannique “Le Pont à Sion”, (anglophilie et anglophonie obligent) dont un membre actif du C.A. et comédienne, notre amie Cecile Rees…
