Jo’ and I (Brian) are off to England today for a short Holiday.   This note is to say ”Thankyou” to all the Members who helped set up for last nights very successful event, which I most certainly enjoyed.   The food was great – as usual  – and so was the atmosphere.   Lots of work involved of course and your help was much appreciated, and will of course be in the future.    Wendy has ‘dishpan’ hands this morning from all the washing up!    So…………. as the saying goes, ”Many hands make light work”.

La Soirée Antillaise s’est très bien passée, et tous les membres ont apprécié le délicieux punch planteur préparé par Charles, ainsi que le colombo de porc, dégusté au son de l’entraînante  musique locale !… et la jolie décoration de table effectuée par Michèle (qui nous a donné quelques explications intéressantes sur la flore exotique). Dommage que ce soit principalement les membres du Comité qui aient mis la main à la pâte …ils auraient apprécié un peu d’aide, du moins pour la vaisselle !
