GALETTES DE ROIS EVENNING – JANUARY 7TH 2016

La première soirée de cette Nouvelle Année a été un franc succès : une cinquantaine de participants très joyeux de se retrouver après l’interruption des fêtes.

The first event of this New Year was a great success, with fifty or so Members happy to have a reunion after the lenghthy break of the festive season.

Chaque participant avait apporté un plat, résultat une nourriture plus qu’abondante, mais délicieuse, et les galettes très variées (n’est-ce-pas David?) aussi très bonnes.

Everyone had brought something to eat and to share with resulted in a veritable banquet whilst the large variety of galettes really encouraged the appetite. ( Is that not so David?)

Nous avons profité de cette soirée pour faire une petite surprise à John et Mary, qui fêtaient leurs 60 ans de mariage. Impressionnant!!!

We took advantage of the event to surprise John and Mary with a cake and some fizz to celebrate their 60 years of marriage.

Après le dîner, il y a toujours la corvée de vaisselle, mais cette fois-ci, les volontaires étaient nombreux..

Quand les organisateurs ont eu fini de tout ranger et que la salle a été vide, ils ont eu droit à une petite démonstration de Twist et de Madison par Michèle et Charles! A renouveler …

When everything was put away and the room ‘put to rights’ we were treated to a demonstration of the Twist and the Madison by Michele and Charles!

President Report – AGM 30^th January 2016

Welcome to our Annual General Meeting. On behalf of all the Committee, I wish you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Bienvenue à notre Assemblée Générale Annuelle. Au nom de tout le Conseil d’Administration, je vous souhaite à tous une très heureuse Nouvelle année remplie de paix et en très bonne santé.

The major change for our association occurred in September, when we moved from the Salle Communale in Sion to La Paree Verte. The agreement with the Mairie meant that all normal Thursday and Friday meetings would be in the Salle No 3. Our special events, meals etc., would continue to be held in the Salle Communale in Sion, on dates acceptable to the Mairie. Consequently we continue to have stocks of plates, cutlery and glasses there.

Le changement majeur pour notre Association a eu lieu en septembre, quand nous avons déménagé de la Salle Communale de Sion à la Parée Verte. L’accord avec la Mairie spécifiait que toutes les réunions normales du jeudi soir et du vendredi matin se tiendraient dans la Salle 3 de la Parée Verte. Nos manifestations spéciales, diners, etc., continueront à se tenir à la Salle Communale de Sion à des dates acceptables par la Mairie. Par conséquent, nous continuons à avoir un stock d’assiettes, couverts et verres là-bas.

Our Association is becoming truly European! As well as French, English and Dutch members we now have Germans too, and some others speak Spanish and Italian. With such diversity, we can be very proud of Le Pont.

Notre Association est en train de devenir véritablement européenne ! En plus des adhérents français, britanniques, belges et hollandais, nous avons maintenant des allemands, et d’autres qui parlent espagnol et italien. Avec une telle diversité, nous pouvons être très fiers du Pont A Sion.

Looking back over the year, we seem to have spent a lot of time eating. We have had Curry, Paella, Fish and Chips, Tartiflette, Galettes and Crepes, and we had a visit to the Chocolatiere in Les Sables d’Olonne and ate even more there. Add to that the wine and aperos on Thursday evenings and coffee and cake on Friday mornings and we are certainly upholding the reputation which France has for being a nation of food lovers!

En revenant sur l’année écoulée, il semble que nous ayons passé beaucoup de temps en agapes. Nous avons eu des Galettes, des Crêpes, du Curry, de la Paella, des Fish and Chips, et de la Tartiflette. Nous avons visité la Chocolaterie des Sables d’Olonne et mangé encore plus là-bas. Ajoutez à cela le vin et les apéros du jeudi soir et le café et les gâteaux du vendredi, et nous sommes vraiment en train de defendre la réputation des français d’être amateurs de gastronomie!

Marie-France organised a very interesting visit to the recycling plant in Givrand, where we were given lots of information how best to recycle all that we use in our houses. Did you know, for example, that it takes 26 plastic water bottles to make one fleece?

Marie-France a organisé une visite très intéressante à l’usine de recyclage de Givrand, où nous avons appris la meilleure façon de recycler tout ce que nous utilisons dans nos maisons. Saviez-vous, par exemple, qu’il faut 26 bouteilles de plastique pour faire une polaire?

Bingo is always popular with the members, this year being no exception. More tea and cakes and some very good prizes too.

Le Loto a toujours beaucoup de succès, cette année n’a pas fait exception. Plus de rafraîchissements et des gâteaux, et des lots intéressants également.

No summer would be complete without time spent at the Bourrine de Loulou . There is always a wonderful atmosphere in his forest garden. Different types of music from jazz to rock and roll and folk music are played by enthusiasts, including one of our members, Jean Claude, who has a wonderful set of drums. Even food is available, with Loulou’s homemade pizza and jambon papates on the menu. A hat is usually passed around for donations for the musicians.

Aucun été ne serait complet sans quelques soirées à la Bourrine à Loulou. Il y a toujours une atmosphère sympathique dans son jardin dans la forêt. Différents types de musique allant du jazz au rock and roll et à la musique folklorique sont joués par des amateurs et quelques pros, y compris l’un de nos adhérents, Jean-Claude, qui y joue régulièrement de la batterie. Il y a aussi une possibilité de repas, avec de la pizza maison et le “jambon/patates” au menu. Un chapeau est généralement passé pour des dons pour les musiciens.

Another Bourrine featured in our summer programme when we were invited to take part in a scarecrow making competition, organised by the Bourrine de Bois Jucaud. A few members, under the direction of Danielle Huteau, gathered together to make our ‘’Tatty Jack’’. We didn’t win any prizes but we had a lot of fun making him. Danielle also organised the two ‘plant-swaps’, which we had in spring and autumn for our green-fingered members.

Une autre Bourrine a été en vedette dans notre programme d’été, quand nous avons été invités à participer à un concours d’épouvantails, organisé par la Bourrine du Bois Juquaud. Quelques personnes, sous la direction de Danièle Huteau, se sont réunies pour fabriquer notre “Tatty Jack”. Nous n’avons pas gagné de prix mais nous nous sommes bien amusés. Danièle a également organise deux Bourses aux Plantes (au printemps et à l’automne) pour les adhérents qui ont la main verte.

Other activities have included the annual picnic in September at the Lac du Jaunay. We always seem to be favoured with lots of sunshine. The Chants de Noel has continued to be a fine end to the years especially this year with our Association Singers!

D’autres activités ont inclus le pique-nique annuel au Lac du Jaunay où nous semblons toujours être favorisés par le soleil. Les Chants de Noël continuent à bien clôturer l’année, et en particulier cette année avec nos Chanteurs.

We always try to find something extra-special to do in the time before Christmas, and the Cabaret at the Casino proved to be just that. The food, entertainment and general ambiance were exceptional and we even had two members who won some money on the fruit machines!

Nous essayons toujours de trouver quelque chose de spécial pour fêter la fin de l’année, et le Cabaret du Casino a été exactement ce que nous cherchions. Le repas, le spectacle et l’ambiance générale étaient exceptionnels et nous avons même eu deux adhérents qui ont gagné aux machines à sous!

In all, a year full of varied and friendly events, enabling members to exchange ideas and deepen friendships, whilst at the same time improved our various language skills. .

En résumé, une année pleine d’activités variées et conviviales, permettant aux adhérents d’échanger des idées et d’approfondir l’amitié, tout en améliorant nos compétences linguistiques.

Whilst we have been enjoying all these exciting activities, costs have continued to rise, and the grant from the Commune has continued to decrease.

We now spend out more than we receive, and it is no longer realistic to continue in that way.

Tous les coûts sont en augmentation constante et la subvention de la Commune en diminution. Nous dépensons maintenant plus que ce que nous recevons, et il n’est pas raisonnable de continuer de cette façon.

Members have duly noted that the Association subscription for this year, 2016, has risen from 12 to 13 euros – the first increase for several years. However it is felt that a further increase for next year will be appropriate and members will be invited to vote on the matter later.

Les adhérents auront remarqué que la cotisation à l’Association pour cette année 2016 est passée de 12 à 13€ (la première augmentation depuis plusieurs années). Toutefois, nous estimons qu’une augmentation supplémentaire pour l’année prochaine sera nécessaire, et les adhérents seront invités à voter sur la question plus tard.

In addition, the Committee has had to decide that there will be no more free events, as the only way in which we can continue to subsidise a major end-of-year event (like last year’s Cabaret at the Casino), is by raising more during the year.

De plus, le Conseil d’Administration a dû décider qu’il ne pourrait plus y avoir de manifestation totalement gratuite. La seule façon dont nous pouvons continuer à subventionner un événement majeur de fin d’année (comme le Cabaret au Casino) est d’augmenter nos recettes durant l’année.

In this regard, there was much discussion at the last Committee meeting as to what the price should be for the previously free events – Soiree Galettes and Crepes –: 5, 6, 8, or even 10 euros being considered. It was decided however, to limit this to 5 euros for the Soiree Crepes on February 11^th.

A ce sujet, il y a eu beaucoup de discussions lors de la dernière réunion du Conseil d’Administration sur le prix à demander pour les manifestations qui étaient auparavant gratuites (les Soirées Galettes et Crêpes), 5,6,8 ou même 10€ étant envisagés. Il a finalement été décidé de ne demander que 5€ pour la Soirée Crêpes du 11 février.

But enough with sordid money matters, on behalf of you all, I would like to thank all the volunteers who have freely given their time and energy in all of our events, including the Committee ‘animateurs’ who host Thursday evenings and Friday mornings.

Mais trêve de sordides questions d’argent, en votre nom à tous, je tiens à remercier les bénévoles qui ont donné de leur temps et de leur énergie dans toutes nos manifestations, y compris les “animateurs” qui vous accueillent le jeudi soir et le vendredi matin.

Special thanks must go to our Secretary, Josette, who works tirelessly behind – and in front – of the scenes to make sure that the Association runs smoothly and to François, for being such an excellent treasurer, and without whom we would not have such enjoyable and interesting Thursday evenings. A big thankyou also to the members who faithfully help to clear up, wash up, put away tables and chairs after our events. Without them and without you, our Association would not be success it patently is.

A little over 70 Members attended the Annual General Meeting on 17th January held at the Paree Verte. The President, Jo’ Collinson gave her report in English and in French (having had a little coaching from Josette over her liaisons). Plus de 70 personnes ont assisté à l’Assemblée Générale du 17 janvier à la Parée Verte. La Présidente, Jo’ Collinson, a présenté son rapport en anglais et en français (avec un peu de coaching pour les liaisons !).

She said that our association has grown significantly this year since we now have 118 members.Elle a annoncé une belle progression de notre Association puisque nous avons atteint cette année le chiffre record de 118 adhérents.

She also made a short résumé of the past year’s events.Elle a également fait un petit compte-rendu de toutes les manifestations organisées l’année passée.

The meeting proceeded smoothly and predictably, with a healthy financial report from Francois Devin (our Treasurer)..La réunion s’est bien déroulée comme prévu, avec le rapport de François Devin (notre Trésorier) sur la bonne santé de nos finances.

Then we have enjoyed an entertaining slideshow of the years’ activities by Marie-France Simonnet (our Vice-President). Ensuite, nous avons apprécié un diaporama-souvenir des activités nombreuses et variées de l’année, préparé par Marie-France Simonnet (notre Vice-Présidente).

June West and Linda Gorton, last years’ President and Secretary respectively, who had served on the Committee since the founding of Le Pont were thanked by the President for their loyalty and committment and were both presented with a bouquet of flowers and other gifts to show the appreciation of Le Pont. June gave a brief speech of thanks and said that both she and Linda would continue to support the Association ‘from the ranks’! Jo’ Collinson a remercié June West et Linda Gorton pour leur fidélité et leur dévouement : pendant des années respectivement Présidente et Secrétaire et au service de l’Association depuis ses débuts. En témoignage de gratitude de l’Association, il leur a été offert un bouquet de fleurs et d’autres cadeaux. June a fait un court discours de remerciements et a dit que Linda et elle-même continueraient à aider le Pontasion même en tant que simples adhérentes !

The President reported that the Committee had worked hard to produce a set of what were to be called ‘House Rules’, which embodied the ethos of Le Pont, together with some guidance about the conduct of events. These were to be sent out to all Members and would in future be given to all those applying to join. La Présidente a annoncé que le Conseil d’Administration avait fourni un important travail pour élaborer un Règlement Intérieur qui traduise les valeurs de l’Association, et donne des conseils sur la conduite des manifestations. Ce Règlement Intérieur sera envoyé prochainement à tous les adhérents.

There then followed the election of two new members to the Committee. They were – and are – Cecily Rees and Derek Howard. We feel sure that they will bring a breath of fresh air to future délibérations! Ensuite a eu lieu l’élection de deux nouveaux membres au Conseil d’Administration, Cecile Rees et Derek Howard. Nous sommes certains qu’ils apporteront une bouffée d’air frais lors de nos futures délibérations !

The Annual General Meeting was then closed, and followed by a necessarily brief Extraordinary General Meeting for the purpose of making a minor change to our Constitution. This was to change the rule regulating the numbers of members of the Committee from, ”a maximum of ten members” to ”a minimum of eight members” This was approved by a show of hands and all members retired to enjoy a glass of wine and some brioche! L’Assemblée Générale Ordinaire terminée, la Présidente a ouvert l’Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire afin de soumettre à approbation une petite modification de nos Statuts : changement de la règle limitant le nombre de membres du Conseil d’Administration « un maximum de dix membres » en « un minimum de huit membres ». Cette résolution a été adoptée à main levée à l’unanimité, et tous les participants se sont ensuite retrouvés pour le traditionnel verre de l’amitié, accompagné de la non moins traditionnelle brioche vendéenne.

President’s Report

June began by welcoming everyone to the AGM and on behalf of the Committee, wished everyone a Happy New Year. .During her report, which was interpreted into French by Marie France, she went on to recall the social events, which had occurred during 2013,

“ Our first event following the last AGM was the fete de Galette de Roi during which a competition was held to select the best home-made crown. Jim West won the men’s section with his light-headed version and the lady’s prize went to Josette Tatinclaux. The usual pancake party took place in February thanks to François’s culinary skills.

During March a Folk dance and supper was held and well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks to Phillipe and his team for the musical input. The Beetle drive in April was not well attended but those who did enjoyed it and had plenty of cake. At the end of June a number of us went to visit a vineyard at Champ du Layon. We received a warm welcome from the proprietors who also provided a very nice room in which to eat our picnic lunch and gave us an assortment of wine to go with it. After a visit to the vines and production area it was back to make our purchases.

We had planned to have a B-B-Q to celebrate t he birth of the new Royal baby and set the date for 27yh July hoping that it would arrive in time. Prince George appeared a few days prior to the date.

During to the times when the Salle was unavailable we had a number of outside events including bowling, two walks, a visit to the Vendee miniature village, a visit to Sable d’Olonne for fish & chips, an evening at Bourinne a Loulou, a sardine factory shop and the bar! Our annual picnic at Lac de Jaunay was not so popular this year, perhaps it is time for a change of venue. please let us know if you have some ideas.

Five members of Le Pont filled a car for the Rallye Touristique d’Association expérience et Partage and I am pleased to say that Le Pont won one of the competitions.

This year came to a close with a loto afternoon in November, a trip to the Christmas show at Puy de Fou and our Chant de Noel which was attended by 74 people. Thanks to Claudine who played the keyboard for us. The singing was great. We quenched our thirst with vin chaud, mince pies and other cakes. We also used this occasion to collect tinned and dried food to present to Restos du Coeur at St. Hilarie who received it gratefully and told us that their client numbers had doubled in the past year. We have received a very nice letter thanking Le Pont for its participation and can I tell you that the 7^th/8^th March is the annual collection for Restos du Coeur across France and I you would like to bring some gifts for that on either Thursday evening or Friday morning before those dates , we will see that they are delivered.

Whilst we have had a successful year, we have seen the number of English speaking members decreasing. This has led us to do a mail shot of British sounding names found in the phone book for the St. Hilaire de Riez area and surrounding villages. So far we have had two new couples come to Le Pont and we welcome them especially today and hope they will join us. A number of people have returned to the UK and sadly a number have been ill and unable to come to Le Pont. We take this opportunity to extend our sincere condolences to those who have lost loved ones over the past year.

I would personally like to thank members who help on Friday mornings serving tea and coffee and all the committee members who are responsible for opening the Salle and making sure everything is in order when the session is finished. Thanks to Brian, Michel and Anne-Marie for doing the quiz every Friday morning. Also thank you Brian for keeping the website up to date and if you haven’t visited it yet please do. Thanks also to François and Marie France for their work every Thursday evening. Every member of the Committee contributes to the organisation of the Association and I thank each of them for their participation and support.

June welcomed new Members. As there had been no comments from the last year’s AGM minutes these were accepted by the membership as were the President’s Report and the Treasurer’s. There were no questions from the floor

Marie France had created an excellent series of slides – with a sound track – to illustrate those events of 2013 which June had described. These were projected and much appreciated.

Elections to Membership of the Committee.

Patrice Garreau has resigned from the Committee but will still act as publicity officers so he is ex-officio now. There is a new candidate Josette Languedoc and Marie France is due for re-election. During the subsequent discussion the votes were taken by secret ballot and were as follows:

52 votes cast for Mme Languedoc unanimous

52 votes for Mme Simonnet unanimous

Then June announced that she would be resigning as President and a successor would be announced later. Linda Gorton was also resigning as Secretary. There were some concern raised from the floor that this would severely alter the Association and help was promised to help June as one of the main reasons was expressed by her that her French was not extensive enough for an association with an increasing French membership and to represent Le Pont at official meetings. Several members also thanked her for her leadership.

The meeting ended but all comments will be taken to the Committee meeting and the membership will be informed of developments asap.

President’s Report

June began by welcoming everyone to the AGM and on behalf of the Committee, wished everyone a Happy New Year. She also welcomed new Members, and introduced Members of the Committee. During her report, which was interpreted into French by Marie France, she touched upon the difficulties experienced by the Association following the uncertainties surrounding the previously used premises and the subsequent move to the Salle Communale in Sion.

She went on to recall the social events, which had occurred during 2012, and to outline some of the planned events for 2013. These to include a Galette du Rois party, Scottish country dancing, and the car rally together with the Association Experience et Partage. Also intended are the annual picnic at the Lac de Jaunay and visits to a vineyard and hopefully a visit to the historic site at Neuil sur l’Autize; the year to end with ‘Chants de Noel’ on Sunday 15^th December.

Treasurers Report.

Francois began by comparing 2011 with 2012. Major differences in the balance sheet derive from the Association having moved premises from one which required a rental payment, and payment for electricity and gas etc., to one which required none of the above.

In answer to a question from the floor Francois explained that extra income had also resulted from the sale of the cooker from the previous premises, together with bookshelves and other items. He pointed out also that the uncertainty of the future required the Association to retain the financial resources to meet changing circumstances. He felt there was no indication for any change to the annual subscription of 12 euros.

It was proposed by Ian Taylor that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. This was seconded by David Vernon and carried unanimously.

Statute Changes.

Marie France informed the AGM that French regulations required some minor amendments to the Constitution of the Association, and their acceptance at the AGM.

Those changes involved a modification in the wording regarding availability of books, and a requirement for new Members to accept the Constitution and to pay an annual Membership fee. The other change was regarding proxy voting; the number of proxy votes allowed to be held by any Member was to be a maximum of two – with the exception of the parent or legal representative of any child Members, who would be entitled to hold proxy votes for all of those children, regardless of number.

A show of hands showed a unanimous acceptance of these changes, which will be entered into the Constitution.

Elections to Membership of the Committee.

The President announced that she and Linda Gorton were required to stand for re-election and that Brian Collinson needed to be ratified as a Member of the Committee. (He had replaced Alison Taylor, whom the President thanked and praised for her work on the Committee since the beginning of the Association). Wendy Vernon had also volunteered to serve on the Committee and was standing for election. Voting papers were then collected and counted.

STATUTS de L’ASSOCIATION

« Le Pont à Sion sur l’Océan »

ARTICLE 1er : Il est fondé entre les adhérents aux présents statuts une association régie par la loi du 1er Juillet 1901 et le décret du 16 Août 1901, ayant pour titre « Le Pont à Sion sur L’Océan »

ARTICLE 2 : Cette association a pour objet :

La création d’un lieu de rencontre où tout le monde est bienvenu.
Proposer des conseils, informations et une écoute, aussi bien en Français qu’en Anglais.
Disposer de quelques livres en Anglais et en Français.
Faciliter l’intégration des Anglophones dans la communauté française de leur région.
Promouvoir toute nouvelle activité valable pour les Francophones et les Anglophones.
ARTICLE 3 : Siège social : Le siège social est fixé au 22 rue des Raffardes à 85270 St Hilaire de Riez.

ARTICLE 4 : La durée de l’association est illimitée

Membres actifs

ARTICLE 6 : Admission:

Pour faire partie de l’association, il faut adhérer aux présents statuts, être agréé par le bureau et s’acquitter de la cotisation dont le montant est fixé par l’Assemblée Générale.

ARTICLE 7 : Les Membres:

Sont membres d’honneur, ceux qui ont rendu des services signalés à l’association.

Sont membres bienfaiteurs, les personnes qui versent une cotisation annuelle égale ou supérieure au double de la cotisation de base.

Sont membres actifs ceux qui ont pris l’engagement de verser annuellement une cotisation fixée chaque année par l’assemblée générale.

ARTICLE 8 : Radiations

La qualité de membre se perd par :
La démission
Le décès
La radiation prononcée par le conseil d’administration pour non-paiement de la cotisation ou pour motif grave, l’intéressé ayant été invité par lettre recommandée à se présenter devant le bureau pour fournir des explications.

ARTICLE 9 : Les ressources de l’association comprennent :
Le montant des droits d’entrée et des cotisations ;
Les subventions de l’Etat, des départements et des communes et de leurs établissements publics.
Les dons manuels ainsi que les dons des établissements d’utilité publique

ARTICLE 10 : Conseil d’Administration

L’Association est dirigée par un Conseil d’Administration de 8 membres au minimum élus pour 3 ans. Les membres sont élus par l’assemblée générale et sont rééligibles. Le Conseil d’Administration est renouvelé chaque année par Tiers.

La première année les sortants sont désignés par le sort.

Le Conseil d’Administration choisit parmi ses membres, au scrutin secret, un bureau composé au minimum :
d’un Président
d’un Vice-président
d’un Secrétaire
d’un Trésorier

En cas de vacance, le conseil pourvoit provisoirement au remplacement de ses membres. Il est procédé à leur remplacement définitif par la plus prochaine assemblée générale. Les pouvoirs des membres ainsi élus prennent fin à l’époque où devrait normalement expirer le mandat des membres remplacés.

ARTICLE 11 : Réunion du Conseil d’administration

Le conseil d’administration se réunit une fois au moins tous les six mois, sur convocation du Président, ou sur la demande du quart de ses membres.

Les décisions sont prises à la majorité des voix ; en cas de partage, la voix de Président est prépondérante.

Tout membre du conseil qui sans excuse, n’aura pas assisté à trois réunions consécutives, pourra être considéré comme démissionnaire.

Nul ne peut faire partie du conseil s’il n’est pas majeur.

ARTICLE 12 : Assemblée Générale Ordinaire

L’Assemblée Générale Ordinaire qui se réunit tous les ans comprend tous les membres de l’association à quelque titre qu’ils y soient affiliés

Quinze jours au moins avant la date fixée, les membres de l’association sont convoqués par les soins du Secrétaire. L’ordre du jour est indiqué sur les convocations.
Le Président assisté des membres du Conseil, préside l’assemblée et expose la situation morale de l’association.

Le Trésorier rend compte de sa gestion et soumet le bilan à l’approbation de l’assemblée.

Il est procédé, après épuisement de l’ordre du jour, au remplacement, au scrutin secret, des membres du conseil sortant.

Ne devront être traitées, lors de l’assemblée générale, que les questions soumises à l’ordre du jour (4).

Les délibérations sont prises á la majorité des deux tiers des membres présents et représentés.

En ce qui concerne les procurations, chaque membre ne peut en détenir plus de deux, à l’exception du représentant légal qui peut représenter tous ses enfants mineurs adhérents.

ARTICLE 13 : Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire

Si besoin est, ou sur la demande de la moitié plus un des membres inscrits, le Président peut convoquer une assemblée générale extraordinaire, suivant les formalités prévues par l’article 12(4)

ARTICLE 14 : Règlement intérieur

Un règlement intérieur peut être établi par le conseil d’administration. Ce règlement éventuel est destiné à fixer les divers points non prévus par les statuts, notamment ceux qui ont trait à l’administration interne de l’association.

ARTICLE 15 : Dissolution

En cas de dissolution prononcée par les deux tiers au moins des membres présents à l’assemblée générale, un ou plusieurs liquidateurs sont nommés par celle-ci et l’actif, s’il y a lieu, est dévolu conformément à l’article 9 de la loi du 1er Juillet 1901 et du décret du 16 Août 1901.

L’adhésion à l’Association entraîne pour le signataire le respect des règles suivantes :

Members are required to comply with the following rules:

Aucun comportement au cours des activités, verbal ou écrit, tendant à porter préjudice au sérieux et à la bonne morale de l’Association, de ses responsables et/ou de ses animateurs ;

Avoidance of any actions, whether physical or verbal, during Le Pont activities, which might prejudice the spirit of the Association or affect the functioning of its’ Officers and Management Committee ;

Aucun propos diffamatoire, injurieux, blessant, offensant, raciste ou plus généralement contraire aux lois et règlements français ;

Avoidance of any defamatory, abusive, harmful, offensive or racist behaviour contrary to established regulations and French law ;

Aucun recrutement, occulte et confidentiel au sein de l’Association, visant à créer des groupes à part, clans ou autres, et dont le but est de porter atteinte à l’intégrité et à la cohésion de Le Pont A Sion ;

Avoid being drawn into any cliques or groups within the Association whose aim would be to undermine the integrity of Le Pont A Sion ;

Aucun comportement dangereux pouvant causer des dommages physiques pour soi ou les tiers.

Avoid any dangerous behaviour which could cause physical harm to themselves or others.

2.1– Tout membre de l’Association accepte de promouvoir l’esprit du groupe par tous les moyens possibles.

2.1 – Every member accepts to promote the spirit of the Association by any available means.

2.2– Pendant les heures d’ouverture, les membres de l’Association s’abstiennent de tout prosélytisme politique, syndical ou religieux et ne distribuent aucun tract en rapport avec celui-ci et ne proposent aucune pétition.

2.2 – During opening hours, Members shall refrain from promoting strongly political or religious opinions, and will not distribute any corresponding leaflet nor present any petition.

2.3 – Il est entendu que les informations détenues dans le fichier de l’Association demeurent strictement confidentielles. En application de la Loi « Informatique et Libertés », elles ne peuvent en aucun cas être transmises à qui que ce soit, sauf avec son accord express.

2.3 – Membership and other information held by the Association is to be kept strictly confidential, pursuant on the French data protection legislation. Such information may in no way be disclosed to outside agencies except with the express permission of the Member.

3 – ENTENTE DE FONCTIONNEMENT

3 – MEMBERSHIP AND THE LAW

3.1 – L’adhérent dégage l’Association de toute responsabilité civile quant aux conséquences qui pourraient résulter de l’utilisation de ses services et des accidents qui pourraient se produire dans l’exercice de l’activité proposée. Il est donc de sa responsabilité d’être couvert par une assurance responsabilité civile. Il a également la possibilité de souscrire à une option dommages corporels qui ne saurait être à la charge de l’Association.

3.1 – The Member releases the Association from any civil liability for any consequenceswhich may result from the use of its services, and accidents that may occur during the carrying out of a proposed activity. It is the responsibility of the individual Member to ensure that he or she is covered by their own ‘personal liability’ insurance. They may also opt to purchase insurance cover for personal injury.

3.2 – L’adhérent déclare renoncer à tout droit à l’image lors de photos prises dans le cadre des activités, sauf à en faire la demande expresse.

3.2 – Members waive all rights to images when photographs are taken in the course of Association events, unless they make specific request. It should be noted that photographs may be displayed on the Le Pont website.

3.3 – L’Association encourage les adhérents à s’organiser en covoiturage mais l’organisation reste de leur responsabilité, de même qu’il appartient aux intéressés de définir, le cas échéant, une participation financière raisonnable au profit de celui qui utilise son propre véhicule pour transporter d’autres personnes.

3.3 – The Association encourages Members to use car-sharing as a way of reducing costs, but the organising of the car-sharing lies with the Members and remains their responsibility, as does the responsibility of Members enjoying the privilege to make suitable financial contribution to the car owner.

3.4 – La cotisation versée à l’Association est définitivement acquise, même en cas de démission, d’exclusion, ou de décès d’un membre en cours d’année.

3.4 – The annual subscription paid to the Association remains the property of the Association, even if the Member has been suspended, resigned or died during the course of the year.

3.5 – Comme indiqué à l’Article 8 des Statuts, l’exclusion d’un membre peut être prononcée par le Conseil d’Administration pour non-paiement de la cotisation ou en cas de manquement répété à la Charte Ethique de l’Association.

3.5 – As indicated in Article 8 of the Constitution of the Association, the exclusion of a Member may be ordered by the Committee for non-payment of the annual subscription, or in the case of repeated behaviour contrary to the Charter of Ethics of the Association.

4 – MODIFICATION DU REGLEMENT INTERIEUR

Le présent règlement pourra être modifié par le Conseil d’Administration ou par l’Assemblée Générale Ordinaire à la majorité des membres.

This present internal rule may be modified by the Management Committee or at the Annual General Meeting voted by a majority of Members.

Bingo!! Loto!! November 15th. Paree Verte No 3.

For those of us who find French numbers difficult to grasp, this was a great opportunity to hear the numbers (les chiffres) in French and in English – pronounced slowly. Francois was his usual eloquent self, very ably assisted by Marie-France.

« Pour ceux d’entre nous qui ont des difficultés à comprendre les chiffres dans une autre langue, le Loto de samedi a été une bonne occasion de progrès puisque les nombres étaient annoncés en français et en anglais, et prononcés lentement. François a été comme d’habitude un maître de cérémonie éloquent, très habilement secondé par Marie-France…

Almost forty members enjoyed the warmth in the hall on this rather wet and windy afternoon.

Une quarantaine d’adhérents ont pu savourer la chaleur de la salle par cet après-midi pluvieux et venteux, de même que l’ambiance très amicale de ce jeu.

During the break from the Loto, a wonderful array of home-made cakes were available, together with a glass of wine. So numerous were the cakes that many people had to eat more than one slice!!

Pendant la pause du Loto, un large éventail de gâteaux « faits maison » était disponible, avec un verre de vin ou autre boisson. Il y avait tellement de gâteaux que les gourmands ont même pu se servir plusieurs fois !…

There were some excellent prizes to be won, including a pair of binoculars and a meal for two people at a prestigious restaurant in St. Gilles. An excellent afternoon, much enjoyed by all participants.

Il y avait également des lots très intéressants à gagner, notamment une paire de jumelles et un repas pour deux personnes dans un restaurant réputé de St Gilles Croix de Vie.En résumé, un après-midi très agréable et distrayant vraiment apprécié par tous les participants ! »
